Fashion-artist and inventor, Di Mainstone creates body-centric structures for experimental performance. A playful choreography of fashion, technology and performance, her work is an interactive hybrid, made whole by the intrepid curiosity of the user. Musical prosthetics, kinetic couture, wearable graffiti, body-architecture and
sensory-skins are just some of the devices Mainstone has fashioned.
A collaboration with Tim Murray-Browne, the Serendiptichord is the result of a cross-disciplinary investigation spanning fashion,
technology, music and dance; a wearable musical instrument that
entices the user to explore a soundscape through touch and movement.
