Oli Mival

Dr Oli Mival is the Senior Research Fellow at Edinburgh Napier University’s Centre for Interaction Design and Director of the Future Interaction Network. He consults for a variety of industrial clients including the NHS, RBS, Toshiba, the FBI and California State Police. Before returning to academia Oli was the managing director of award winning media production company Those Media Guys. In his current role Oli is exploring the impact of emerging technologies such as surface computing and multi-touch on real world work, social, public and private spaces and the appropriate blending of the digital with the analogue. He will outline the trials and tribulations of designing, developing and deploying the university’s ICE, or Interactive Collaborative Environment.
